Roogle is a rental listing aggregator for international students and expats. We index housing offers that are already public but scattered across Facebook groups, Telegram channels, Discord servers, Reddit and niche forums — and we send you straight to the original post.
Why Roogle exists
Roogle started with a relocation, and then another one. Our founder moved for study and for work — Paris, then London, then Houston — and hit the same wall every time. The flats that were genuinely available were not on the big portals. They were in a Facebook group somebody had to invite you into, a Telegram channel a classmate mentioned in passing, a forum thread three pages deep.
That informal market works, after a fashion. It is also fragmented, fast-moving and full of people asking for a deposit on an apartment they do not own. Arriving in a new country without a local rental history, without a guarantor and often without the language, you are the easiest person in that market to take advantage of.
After twenty years in European real estate and fifteen building IT products, the team in Geneva concluded that the problem was not a shortage of listings. It was that nobody had put them in one place, in a form you can actually search, filter and monitor — without pretending to be the landlord.
What we actually do
Roogle indexes rental offers that other people have already published publicly, normalises them into one format, groups duplicate posts of the same property, and makes the result searchable in a single feed. When something matches, we hand you the link to the original post so you can talk directly to whoever wrote it.
That is the whole model, and the limits of it matter as much as the capability.
What Roogle is not
- Not a landlord, and not a listing host
We do not publish properties of our own. Every result points at a post that already existed somewhere else, and the original author stays its publisher.
- Not an agency and not a broker
We take no commission, sign no lease, hold no deposit and are never a party to your rental. Whatever you agree, you agree with the person who posted it.
- Not a republisher of personal data
We index the facts of an offer — city, price, type, size, availability, source. We do not reproduce phone numbers, email addresses, names or private messages.

Privacy and your data
We are a Swiss company handling the personal data of people across Europe, and we treat that as a design constraint rather than a footnote. How we make money
Subscriptions. That is the entire business model.
Searching Roogle is free once you have an account, and every filter is included. A paid subscription buys reach and speed: how much of a result set you can page through, how many original posts you can open in a month, and how quickly a new match reaches your alerts. Anti-scam checks are unlimited on every plan — rationing a fraud check is the one saving not worth making. The exact limits behind both plans are on the pricing page, where they are generated from the code that enforces them.
We take no commission on a rental. No listing and no source can pay to appear higher in results — there is no paid placement, no promoted listing and no advertising in the feed. We do not sell your data.
Who we serve
Roogle is built for the people who arrive somewhere and have to find housing from the outside — and for the institutions standing behind them.
Arriving for a semester, an exchange or a full degree, usually on a deadline and usually from another country.
Landing in a city where they have no network, no local rental record and no easy way into the groups where offers actually circulate.
We run active pilots with universities, and we work with employers hiring international talent and with the relocation partners who handle their arrivals.
Coverage is expanding across Europe — the Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain and Ireland among the countries live today, with more being added.
